Recently I’ve been writing short stories again.
Some of them are towards a body of work and some of them aren’t and the more of them that there are the easier it’ll be to tell what I’m talking about. Can you see what I’m talking about?

For a while, Leigh Stein and I ran The Book Report Reading Series, where people had to give readings in the form of book reports.
Sometimes people would drop out the morning of, and then I’d have to end up writing and reading a book report, and a few were published on Vice
the story behind this is that someone organized a reading for what would have been Nobokov’s 112th birthday at Le Poisson Rouge. I thought it would be really funny to write a 5th grade style book report on Lolita. Leigh and I had both read and were drinking and joking about how funny it would be to run a whole reading series where people could only give book reports. We got an email the next day telling us we could have a monthly date. It ran for a few years. It was a lot of fun. You can even read it here on my old blog.
